2011 TEMPRANILLO Tempranillo is a variety of black grapes widely grown to make full-bodied red wines in its native Spain. It is the main grape used in Rioja, and is often referred to as Spain’s noble grape. TASTING NOTES: This is an elegant wine with a bouquet of cherry, vanilla and smoke. The flavors of dark cherry, chocolate with spices and a hint of leather give this medium bodied wine a very smooth lingering finish. Well balanced and consistent from the sniff of cherry to the last taste on the pallet. 25% new French oak. BLEND: 80% Tempranillo 14% Cab Franc 6%
